Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board has confirmed that the mobile testing facility located at the Richard Price Centre in Llangeinor has had to temporarily close at short notice due to ongoing issues at the site.
While this is being resolved, residents are being offered appointments at alternative venues in the region, and the health board will announce new arrangements soon.
In the meantime, residents who are experiencing symptoms of coronavirus are being encouraged to use alternative methods to obtain a free test at home.
The mobile testing units are directed to emerging ‘hotspot’ areas based on analysis of information from Public Health Wales, and are intended to provide a rapid response.
In addition to arrangements for the mobile facility, the health board will also shortly be announcing details of a new testing site in the county borough.
