Cynffig’s Jack selected for the Boys Clubs of Wales rugby squad
Huge congratulations to Cynffig Comprehensive School’s Year 12 student Jack Davies on his selection for the Welsh U17 Boys clubs of Wales rugby squad.
Jack is an excellent role model for the younger ’Team Cynffig’ pupils. Well done and good luck Jack!
In other Cynffig rugby news, sixth form rugby has made a very successful return to the school. The boys gave a brilliant display of running rugby in their first Ospreys Rugby League fixture, winning 62-27 against Pencoed Comprehensive School.
Monthly pop-up cafe at Cefn’s Three Horse Shoes
The next monthly pop-up café, held on the fourth Wednesday of the month, is this week, 25th September, at the usual time of 10.00am – 1.00pm in the lounge of the Three Horse Shoes Community pub in Cefn.
Anyone can drop in for a cuppa, slice of cake and a chat.
Learn Sign Language in new free beginners class at Cefn’s Green Hall
A new free ‘Sign Language for beginners’ course, is starting at Cefn’s Green Hall (the Community Centre) on Thursday, 26th September at 4.00-5.00pm.
Also being simultaneously held at the William Trigg Centre in Blaengarw the course is funded by the UK Government.

Join a new free Strictly inspired fitness dance class at Green Hall
A new free ‘Strictly inspired fitness dance’ class for all ages and abilities, is also starting at Cefn’s Green Hall (the Community Centre) on Friday, 27th September at 2.30-3.30pm.
Also being simultaneously held at the Philip Squire Community Centre in Coytrahen, the Richard Price Centre in Llangeinor and the William Trigg Centre in Blaengarw the course is funded by the UK Government.
