Bridgend County Borough Council is awaiting Welsh Government guidance over exactly what the local lockdown restrictions in Rhondda Cynon Taf will mean for residents living on the local authority boundaries.
Welsh Government is due to issue a Frequently Asked Questions document later today on the Rhondda Cynon Taf local lockdown.
Council leader Huw David said: “Residents living in places such as Evanstown which borders the boundary of Rhondda Cynon Taf travel into, and through, Gilfach Goch several times a day whether for work, shopping, school or the GP, for example.
“They understandably want to know what the local lockdown in Rhondda Cynon Taf which comes into force at 6pm this evening will mean to them.
“Welsh Government guidance is due to be issued later today and we will update our residents as soon as possible.”
