Remembrance Sunday at Pyle Legion

A service of remembrance, including the laying of poppy wreaths, will be held on Sunday 10th November at the new war memorial in the grounds of Pyle Legion at 10.40am.

The new war memorial, that was built by the new Pyle & Kenfig Hill Veterans Association in partnership with Pyle Legion, was officially unveiled last summer.

Following the service refreshments will be available in the club. The service is organised by the Veterans Association and supported by Pyle Legion.

All are welcome and are asked to be at the Legion by 10.30am.

 

Cefn’s Remembrance Sunday

Cefn’s annual Remembrance Sunday Service on 10th November, will begin at 10.00am at Cefn’s Wesleyan Methodist Church (the chapel next to Mynydd Bach Common), followed by a service and laying of wreaths at the village war memorial on the common at 10.55am.

The service is organised by Cefn Cribwr Community Council. All are welcome at the church and on the common.

 

Remembrance Sunday and temporary road closure in Kenfig Hill

The Service of Remembrance in Kenfig Hill on Sunday 10th November will start at St Theodore’s Church on High Street at 10.00am followed by a service and the laying of wreaths at the village’s cenotaph at Moriah Place (top cross) at 10.45am.

The location of the cenotaph at the junction of Moriah Place, Prince Road and Commercial Street necessitates the complete closure of the road between St Theodore’s Church and the cenotaph between 10.00am and 11.30am on Sunday 10th November.

The service is organised by Pyle Community Council. All are welcome at the church and at the cenotaph.
