The winners of the highly anticipated Wales Business Awards 2023 were announced last Thursday 18 May at a ceremony hosted by Chambers Wales South East, South West and Mid at the ICC Wales, Newport.
Businesses from across Wales came together to celebrate their achievements and successes as 10 winners were crowned across 10 categories:

The Wales Business of the Year award, sponsored by Atradius, was also presented during the evening with Cardiff-based manufacturer BCB International scooping the prize in addition to winning Global Business of the Year.
BCB International has designed, manufactured and supplied innovative protective, medical and survival equipment for frontline workers in the defence, outdoor and marine sectors for over 160 years.
The company wowed the judges with the strength of their presence on the international stage, their ability to meet the demands of the market and prioritising their customers’ needs, such as providing support for Ukraine, Turkey and Syria through life-saving and survival equipment.
Andrew Howell, managing director at BCB International, said: “To win two awards is amazing. This is a fantastic achievement for the company and recognises the hard work of each and every member of our team. We are feeling euphoric.”

Celebrating its 20th year, the Wales Business Awards provide SMEs across the country with the opportunity to compete for Wales’ most prestigious accolades.
Other winners on the night included Acorn by Synergie, Azets, BOF, ELITE Clothing Solutions, EatSleep Media, Genpower Ltd, Power & Water, Uplands Mobiles Ltd, and Harriet Thomas of Cosy Throws, who took home the Young Entrepreneur of the Year award.
