A recent reaccreditation of Heronsbridge School’s platinum status with Investors in People, first achieved in 2021, has highlighted the school as having the highest nationwide score for this award in the school sector.
Focusing on advanced levels, the Investors in People reaccreditation process revealed phenomenally high scoring in all of the relevant indicators, positioning Heronsbridge School at the forefront of schools throughout the UK for this accolade.
The latest reassessment and report spotlighted an array of the school’s exceptional qualities, including the positive culture of development, innovation and creativity, as well as the empowerment of staff to use their initiative, together with people’s passion and investment in supporting the values of the school.
A set of parents at the school commented: “As parents, we feel extremely fortunate to be part of the Heronsbridge community and know that our children are being educated by the very best members of staff.
“We are delighted that Heronsbridge has retained its platinum Investors in People award this year. We cannot think of an organisation that is more deserving of this privilege and we are grateful that their constant hard work has once again been recognised. The commitment and dedication of everyone working at Heronsbridge is evident and as a result the pupils are receiving the very best care and education.
“They not only invest in all their staff and pupils, but also in the family unit. We don’t know where we would be without Heronsbridge and all the parents I speak to feel exactly the same way. Our family has changed forever through their hard work, and we know that the school’s “together we can” ethos is very real and promoted by all staff members and pupils alike.”
Headteacher, Jeremy Evans, said: “At Heronsbridge, we are passionate about fully meeting the needs of our fantastic pupils, ensuring that they are well prepared for the next chapter in their lives. To achieve this, we wholeheartedly invest in our people.
“Our twenty-seven-year relationship with Investors in People and the journey through silver, gold and platinum has helped us to shape our school, identifying strengths and areas to work on throughout the years.
“We were thrilled to be recognised as a platinum organisation in 2021 and are so pleased to retain the accolade this year. It is a clear indication of the dedication and hard work that the team has invested in the school. This award is a culmination of our long-term engagement with the Investors in People standards, helping to drive our commitment of a highly trained workforce to support the learning experiences of children in our school – bringing knowledge, skills and fun into the daily life of our community.
“The platinum reaccreditation is a true reflection of our values as an organisation, and it represents the commitment and effort of everyone working at Heronsbridge – past and present.
“I would like to thank everyone for the part they play in making Heronsbridge a fantastic place to work and for making a difference to the lives of so many pupils and their families.”
Councillor Martyn Jones, Cabinet Member for Education and Youth Services, said: “Heronsbridge School is undoubtedly a beacon of good practice. Earlier this year, the school received an outstanding inspection report with no recommendations and has now achieved the highest UK score in the school sector during the recent reaccreditation of its platinum status with Investors in People.
“I am in awe at the level of drive, commitment and passion demonstrated by the staff and senior leadership at Heronsbridge School – dedication which has been reflected in this well-deserved award. Well done all, you are an absolute asset to our community.”
