Beginning in September this year, Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board will be undertaking some urgent and essential improvement works to its neonatal and maternity units at the Princess of Wales Hospital in Bridgend.
This £1m investment in the future of both units will ensure that the Health Board is able to continue to offer safe and effective care for families.
During the 12 weeks period in which the work will be undertaken, the Health Board will be unable to maintain business continuity across the site, and so both the maternity and neonatal teams will be relocated for a short period of time, away from Princess of Wales Hospital.
Community midwives will be the key point of contact for families and we have also published a frequently asked questions document.
