Closure of the entrance to Rogers Lane, Laleston for resurfacing works

Resurfacing works are continuing across the county borough with High Street in Laleston underway this week.

Works are taking place during half-term to reduce disruption to highway users.

  • 25 – 28 March, 7pm – 12am: Temporary traffic control and a closure of the entrance to Rogers Lane. Signed diversions will be in place.
  • 2 – 4 April, 9.30am – 3.30pm: Temporary traffic control will be in place.

There may also be intermittent works to replace road markings and lines outside of these hours.

Works are weather dependent and dates subject to change.

Monthly pop-up cafe at Three Horse Shoes pub

A cafe will be popping up this Wednesday 27th March, 10.00am – 1.00pm in the lounge of the Three Horse Shoes Community Pub in Cefn.

Anyone can drop into the monthly pop-up cafe for a coffee, cake and a chat.

 

Coffee morning at Cefn’s Wesleyan for Sandville

Cefn Methodist Church will be holding its next charity coffee morning on Wednesday 3rd April at 10.00am-12.00pm.

This month the coffee morning will be raising funds for the Sandville Self Help Foundation the local charity in Kenfig that supports people with life limiting and life changing conditions.

Get together to meet old friends and make new friends, over coffee, tea and biscuits. All are welcome at the little chapel on the edge of the common.

 

Free Easter egg hunt at Pyle Garden Centre

Children that find all the Easter shapes hidden around Pyle Garden Centre can claim a prize at the till, on Thursday 28th & Friday 29th March from 9am-3pm.

After the egg hunt the Olive Tree restaurant will be serving a special Easter tea for children to include 2 bunny sandwiches (a choice of ham or cheese) an Easter cupcake, crisps and a selection of fresh fruit. The Olive Tree kitchen closes at 3:30pm.
