Tickets are now available for ‘An Evening of Song’ at St Theodores’ in Kenfig Hill

Tickets are now available for Josef Gray’s annual concert, ‘An Evening of Song’ at St Theodores’ Church in Kenfig Hill on Saturday 24th February 2024 at 7pm.

The concert will showcase the tremendous talent of the 20 year old baritone from Kenfig Hill, who won Dunraven Welsh Singer of the Year 2019. Joining Joe, are special guests, Anne Wilkins, Darcey Paris George and Courtney Taylor. Anne was most recently seen on BBC’s Michael McIntyre’s Big Show where she appeared as the ‘unexpected star of the show’ when she sung a duet with Sir Bryn Terfel, Anne is a well-known soprano who has achieved her FTCL and ARCM diplomas in Singing Performance. Darcey is a member of Loud Applause Rising Stars (LARS), and currently in her second year studying Voice and Opera at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff. Courtney is a recent Drama School graduate from BIPA achieving her BA Hons degree in Musical Theatre who recently gained an LCM Diploma in singing.

The vocalists will once again be accompanied by another homegrown talent, gifted pianist Andrew Chinnock. Andrew who is from Kenfig Hill began playing piano at age 5, becoming St Theodore’s official organist at the age of just 12. He has accompanied numerous choirs and soloists, taught piano at schools, and played in bands. He has also been the musical director for multiple choirs, with The Pheonix Singers being the choir currently under Andrew’s baton. Andrew achieved a BMus from Cardiff University and simultaneously completed an MA in music in 2022.
