M4 Motorway Westbound Re-Opens after fatal crash – Police Call for Witnesses

South Wales Police have confirmed that at 2:30pm yesterday, emergency services were called to a road traffic collision on the M4 westbound between Junction 36 and Junction 37.

A Mercedes Sprinter van had collided with the central reservation.

Tragically, as a result of the collision, a 44-year-old man from Cardiff has died. The man’s family has been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers at South Wales Police.

The motorway reopened at around 10.30pm last night. Motorists have been thanked for their patience and understanding during the road closure.
