A brand-new seaside holiday rental in Porthcawl, Ty Cwtch, is welcoming visitors to a cosy, detached one-bedroomed cottage in Porthcawl, just five minutes walk from the beach.
The Welsh name ‘Ty Cwtch’ has no direct translation in English, but the closest meaning is ‘a cuddle’ or ‘a hug’ or ‘a small safe space,’ and that’s exactly what host Debra Wiseman, a world-reknowned Journey Therapist, Workshop Leader and Executive Life Transformation Coach and her husband Stephen wanted to create – a safe, cosy place where guests could get away from it all and enjoy everything the South Wales coast offers, like feeling the sand between your toes and the wind in your hair.
Debra says:
“No matter where I go in the world, I love coming home, just walking my dogs on the beach and breathing in the sea air, or feeding the ducks in the nearby Wilderness Park, being at one with nature. There’s no therapy quite like it and I wanted to create a small, affordable space to allow guests to enjoy it for themselves.”
Ty-Cwtch has been several years in the planning and while it’s a natural fit for anyone with an interest in nature and wellbeing, it’s handy location also makes it perfect for surfers and holidaymakers, within easy reach of Porthcawl’s Harbour, Shops, Traditional Fairground, Cafes and Restaurants. It’s also only about 15 minutes drive from the McArthur Glen Shopping Mall and Odeon Cinema.
