Further details have been confirmed on how eligible residents in Bridgend County Borough will receive financial support designed to help them tackle rising a steep rise in living costs.
Part of a £330m package launched by Welsh Government, the support features a £150 cost-of-living payment and an extra £200 for low-income households which will be provided later in the year through the winter fuel payment.
Households who live in council tax band A-D properties who pay by direct debit will automatically receive the payment directly into their bank accounts.
All other eligible households will receive an email or a letter featuring a secure identification code that they can use to register for the payment online.
Payments will start to be issued during April 2022.
Bridgend County Borough Council will also have access to a share of a £25m discretionary assistance fund which Welsh Government is making available to local authorities to support households who may be struggling.
