Bridgend County Borough Council has confirmed that free parking will remain available at two council-maintained town centre car parks to support traders.
During the pandemic, drivers have been able to park for free for the first three hours at the Rhiw multi-storey car park in Bridgend, and between noon and 3pm at John Street in Porthcawl.
Free parking is also available at the Llynfi Road multi-storey in Maesteg and the Penprysg Road car park in Pencoed.
Cllr Richard Young, Cabinet Member for Communities, said: “Whether it is through the introduction of free and concessionary rental rates for market stall traders, providing millions of pounds of financial support or offering free equipment and training to help keep staff and customers safe, the council continues to do all that it can to support local businesses and shoppers throughout the pandemic.
“This latest extension is designed to support traders as people make use of the recently announced ‘stay local’ provision from Welsh Government, and as we look towards the gradual reopening of local shops and facilities.”
