South-Wales based HR consultancy, the HR Dept Cardiff, Newport and Monmouth is marking five years of business operations with an expansion into eight new regions in Wales this week.
The company which specialises in HR services was established in 2015 by Caryl Thomas, bringing over a decade of corporate experience to the business, having previously worked in London, Edinburgh and internationally to support SMEs across the globe. Initially launching in the Cardiff region, in 2019, Caryl expanded her reach by acquiring Newport and Monmouth areas.
Following its rapid expansion, the HR Dept Cardiff, Newport and Monmouth announced a significant revenue increase of 81% earlier this year, with over 180 clients accessing its services. As a result of continued business growth, the consultancy will now occupy further Welsh regions, covering Bridgend, the Vale of Glamorgan, Chepstow, Forest of Dean, Aberdare, Caerphilly, Merthyr Tydfil and Rhondda Cynon Taff.
Director Caryl Thomas explains: “We are thrilled to be celebrating half a decade of business in South Wales. The past 12 months have been a challenge for many of us but to be able to further expand is a fantastic achievement, especially in this current economic climate. It’s something that I’m incredibly proud of.
“Naturally, over the last few months, the demand for outsourced HR services has increased dramatically due to the ongoing impact of COVID-19 and the evolving HR needs of businesses across all sectors. That’s why we’re thrilled to offer our services to more regions in South Wales than ever before and have brought new team members on board to support our ambitious growth plans.”
Following its expansion, the business will now split into three key regions, HR Dept Cardiff, Bridgend and the Vale; HR Dept Newport, Monmouth, Chepstow and Forest of Dean; and HR Dept Aberdare, Caerphilly, Merthyr and Rhondda.
Caryl continued: “The COVID-19 business landscape is continuously evolving, and we’re keen to offer businesses the support and advice they need for ongoing business survival during lockdown and beyond. I truly believe that COVID has presented an opportunity to work collaboratively and support each other, especially in the SME community.
“I am truly delighted to be able to announce plans of the consultancy’s expansion and look forward to meeting and supporting many news businesses over the next 12 months.”
Established in 2015 with a people-first mindset at its core, the HR consultancy offers smart, business-focused advice to its clients across all eight regions. With its goal to humanise HR with its personable approach, it works to solve people-problems with authenticity and transparency.
