Bridgend County Borough Council crews worked throughout Tuesday and overnight to deal with storm damage across the county borough.

Highways crews dealt with a number of fallen trees and flooding issues while the strong winds also damaged the roof at the Watersports Centre in Rest Bay, Porthcawl.

Trees fell on a number of roads including the A4063 Aberkenfig bypass, the A48 between the Ewenny Roundabout and Broadlands Roundabout, the A4061 Aber Road Pricetown, Waterton Lane, Maes-y-felin in Wildmill and Eleanor Close in Pencoed.

Meanwhile, in Llangeinor, further repair work is planned in a narrow lane where a tree fell close to houses.

The Dipping Bridge at New Inn Road, Merthyr Mawr, was closed for a time with work ongoing to clear the debris after the river waters subsided meanwhile urgent repairs were undertaken on the roof of the Watersports Centre at Rest Bay.
