Bridgend County Borough Council’s community recycling centres in Tythegston, Maesteg and Brynmenyn are now open for essential use only.
To reduce queuing and waiting times, an even/odd car number plate system is in use which means you can only visit on specific days.
If the last digit of your vehicle number plate is an odd number, such as 1,3,5,7 or 9, you can access the community recycling centres between 8.30am – 7pm today for essential use only.
Please be aware that traffic management, road closures and alternative routes are in place for the sites to be accessed safely.
At Tythegston, access will only be available to vehicles travelling in from the A48. There will be no site access from the A4106 Bridgend Road.
At Brynmenyn, vehicles will use a diversion to approach the site on George Thomas Avenue. They will drive and queue along St Theodore’s Way and Chilcott Avenue.
Access routes to the site at Maesteg will be as per normal. The reuse shop at the Maesteg site is closed until further notice.
