Bridgend Council looks to Expand Emergency Childcare Provision

Bridgend County Borough Council is looking at how it can expand its emergency childcare provision to provide safe care for the children of other key workers across Bridgend County Borough, such as those working in:

  • local and national government
  • food and other necessary goods
  • public safety and national security
  • transport
  • utilities, communication and financial services

While this does not constitute an offer of access to emergency childcare., workers in any of the above industries who need to use the emergency childcare provision and being invited to email an expression of interest to EDFSCOVIDKEYWORKERS@bridgend.gov.uk with their name, email address and home address.

Please remember to include the number of children needing to use the service, their names and dates of birth, and their schools and school year group.

It remains the local authority’s strong advice that parents should keep their children at home unless absolutely necessary.
